Hospital Radio Lynn has been broadcasting since 18th April 1974.  Typicall we broadcast 4 hours a night between 6 and 10pm, although this does vary.  Each night 2 hours of programming is dedicated entirely to patient's Requests and Dedications.

 

The primary aim of our service is to help relieve bordem and isolation a period in hospital can cause - helping to relieve sickness and infirmity by providing a pleasant distraction - a chat with one of our Ward Visitors - hearing a favourite piece of music or even laughing along with some of our presenters.

 

There are over 11,500 volunteers currently working in over 300 Hospital Radio Stations nationally.  Collectively we help over 18 million patients in Hospitals throughout the country by providing this totally unique but essential service.
