Hospital Radio Lynn celebrates with two nominations for the National Hospital Radio Awards

Shortly after midnight on New Year’s Day, Hospital Radio Lynn’s very own Matt Farmer and Philip Medcalf were shortlisted for Best Newcomer and Best Male Presenter at the National Hospital Radio Awards 2018.

Open to all HBA member stations, there are eleven categories, including Best Newcomer, Best Male and Female Presenters and the overall Best Station. The awards were again judged by those working in both the radio industry and the health service, focussing on Hospital Radio’s key aims in providing an entertainment service to hospital patients.

Nominations were announced shortly after midnight on New Year’s Day by HBA Ambassador and Voice of the Balls, Alan Dedicoat.

The Bronze, Silver and Gold winners will be revealed – along with the overall winners for Recognising Innovation (designed to recognise those behind the scenes) alongside the John Whitney Award (celebrating lifetime commitment and achievement within the Hospital Radio sector) at the Awards Ceremony in Bolton in March.
